Money = Time

Time is used to produce money. But time is limited in a day and limited to the strength of human mind and physical. In the equation, if you want more money, you need more time. Buy more time with money. You can bake a cake in 1 hour to sell for RM60. In 1 day, you work for 8 hours, that's 8 cakes for total of RM480. Hire a staff for RM20 per hour, a wage of RM160 per day but now you can now make 16 cakes in 1 day to sell for RM960. This is so simple about business and money-making. There is a problem however - to sell all the 16 cakes and keep selling for the rest of your life. How do retail keep up with sales? Probably the margin is extremely high that the cost low and are able to cover the wage of 1 staff for some duration of days. I think once you know how to make money, it's about balancing profit and loss. Not sure on this part yet. Will write more once I get some idea from my research.

Diamond ring

Was walking in Sungai Wang Plaza with my mom and her. She saw a diamond ring and really likes it. After we have walked almost everywhere and also had changed our money currency, we ate teppanyaki.

We went down to ground floor, walked by Levi's shop, went in, I bought a jeans! Woot! My last jeans was like.. 4-5 years ago? I can't remember. Then we went to Diamond & Platinum again so see the diamond ring again.

This time we went in to see more designs and to learn more about diamond cutting and stuff. There's this thing called 4C, carat, cut, color and clarity. There's grade for each C. For this shop, their 'estrella' diamonds has the excellence cut. So the only thing left to choose was carat, color and clarity. Eventually we turned out to be choosing a diamond to buy instead of just looking.

Not long later, my mom got bored and came in the shop. She then silently bought a white gold necklace. She was so happy and so fast too. We were still choosing the right diamond to buy.

Then it was already closing shop period, we finally choose one - a 0.337 E SI1 diamond ring with tiffany & co design. It cost me RM 4,042. And I paid for my mom's necklace which was RM 777. Ok, I'm like really poor now.

So we went back home after that. I then proposed her to marry to me with the diamond ring. Although there isn't much surprise, and very low romantic factor, but I guess this is it. It's just a normal atmosphere, but I think because we had no intention to buy the diamond ring, and she wasn't prepared to get one so suddenly, I think it's also good because she gets too choose and compare and at the same time learn about diamond.

Unlike what you see in the movies, where the guy will buy the diamond ring first, then with flower and kneeing to the girl to propose, in reality, I don't really think it's practical. Maybe other people can do it, and the girl loves that. But what if the girl doesn't like the design? Or maybe the diamond is a fake? Or whatever that can happen.

For me, I like practicality, so going to diamond shop together, choosing together, and where does most of the choosing and then me paying the bill(so that she knows the price!) is a good way too.

Oh, she said "Yes".

Miki the maltese

Here's the story of how we get Miki the maltese.

Last week ago, we went to Taipan to get something. Then I brought her to see dogs at my usual pet shop. Then there happened to have new arrival of about 6-7 maltese puppy and they were so cute and lovely. Right before this, like 20 minutes ago I was like telling her that I think I'll get maltese if next time I buy a dog. Wow, the pet shop can hear me?

So she liked the maltese puppy, and we spent some time in there to look at the female maltese and played with it. Finally, we told Lee Ping, the shop owner, to hold one of the two female puppy for us, as we want to make decision at home whether to buy it or not. The opening price was RM 1,800, she gae us RM 1,600.

So we went home.

Then the next day, she kept wanting to get the puppy, so went to the pet shop again to look at it. This time, we manage to get the price of RM 1,500 which was quite ok for us. Finally we paid deposit of RM 100 and we still need to think again. Then we even gave her a name, Miki.

So during the whole week, we discussed with my mom and she doesn't really allow us to have the puppy, then she throws the ball to my dad. So I had asked my dad whether we can Miki or not, he said no. Ahh so damn sad. So our mood was like up and down during the whole week. She also kept throwing sad temper to me and saying ok la don't want Miki la.

Then finally I asked my dad again, telling him how much we really want the puppy and etc..etc.. Then he said you all like la, blablhablah unhappy with no choice. But that's my dad I suppose. So ok now we can have the puppy already!! Yay!!!

So we went to collect Miki home around evening. Miki is now part of my family.

I'll post up photos of her later.
